Extraordinary Madame Recamier miniature portrait on oval porcelain plaque after famous painting by French neoclassical painter François Gérard (1770-1837). It comes in a beautiful, fine, antique gilt bronze frame decorated with figural leaf sprays and ribbons. The frame has both an easel stand and a ring for table, wall or cabinet display. Oval porcelain plaque is signed on center right border, illegible. Unexamined outside of the frame. In very good used condition with minor imperfections as shown.
