Antique Marble Top Georgian Hall Bench

Unavailable
This beautiful marble-top low table, hall or window bench features elaborate carved decoration and elements of both 17th century (French rococo) and 18th century (English Georgian) design. The cabriole legs are formed by two opposite "C" scrolls with classical masks with ram horns at the shoulder. The x-shaped stretcher is formed by four straight members ending in large scrolls, and is punctuated with an acorn finial. The frieze is decorated with leafy scrolls. Believed to date from the late Victorian period, it is likely either of English or American origin. Measures 27" wide, 17" deep and 18.25" high.
