A thoroughly beautiful Art Nouveau style Jardiniere made by Lovatt & Langley, and hand-painted with a glossy royal blue rim. The pot has got beautiful pastel motifs further highlighted with gold borders. It is made in stoneware.
It has got all original markings.

There is a small hairline crack as well as a piece which has been glued - both are hardly visible.
Lovatt & Langley - were establsihedat Langley Mill in 1895, and came out of company known as Calvert & Lovatt. They changed their name in 1931 to Lovatt's Potteries and were bought in 1959 by Denby.
They were well known for their slip decorated earthware, they marked pots under the names "Langley Ware" & "LoviqueWare".
