Antique Louis XV Style Dore Bronze Bureau Plat

This antique desk or center table in the French Louis XV style dates from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. It features geometric parquetry designs on the top and frieze, and gilt bronze mounts along the serpentine sides and foliate bronze mounts on the frieze on all sides. The corners of the cabriole legs are also decorated with bronze foliate mounts and the legs are capped with bronze sabots ending in animal paw feet. It measures 47" long, 26.5" deep and 29 7/8" tall. Condition is excellent. Mounts are very clean and appear to have been regilded. There is one center drawer and no key. This item resides in our client's gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan ( New York City ) and may be seen by appointment.
