This is an nice clean early 9" linesman's splicing pliers with no maker's mark on it. They are in good condition with a very tight hinge. This style has two seperate oval shaped sizes for crimping or splicing applications. The smaller is 3/8 wide, the larger 9/16" wide at the widest point. There is a end clasp to keep the pliers closed, it works very well. I see very little wear, the serations inside the two ovals look fine, no rust, some minor pitting noted in a few small areas. A unusual style, antique linesman's tool in great condition!
