Early 17th century dagger with 8 3/8" double-edged blade with moderate pitting, straight quillons with ring guard, wooden grip covered by leather with wire wrapping. Deeply stamped on the spear point blade with a deep makers stamp. Condition: wonderful, untouched deep age patina. Total length: 13 inches (33 cm). The same marks-multiply ellipse- could be found on early 17th century Polish Hussars swords mounted with North Italian blades. References: Husaria Polska by Z.
