Beautiful artist signed Japanese Kutani vase with highly detailed gold and crimson decoration. The upper part is red, hand painted with floral and geometric patterns. The main body incorporates many traditional motifs including quail, peonies and cherry blossoms. There is also a mountain with some huts in the foreground. These areas are painted with very fine lines.
Marked on bottom as shown in photo. Dai Nippon, Kutani appears top right. Made in Japan.
Possibly late Meiji period. PLEASE NOTE - we are not experts on Japanese porcelain, so your comments are appreciated.
MEASURES: 3 inches diameter, 7 in. tall
Very good to excellent condition. No chips, cracks, dings or repairs.
