Antique 17th - 18th century Indo Persian Islamic chain mail helmet Kula Zirah formed of a small circular convex form steel plate, retaining its original mail defence of flattened riveted links.
These types of chainmail helmets were also popular in Turkey, and widely used by many Eastern European nations during the 17th and early 18th century.
Height on the display stand from the top of the steel plate, to the end of the bottom link: 71 cm (28 in), from the top of the plume holder to the bottom of the mail.
CONDITION in good condition considering its age, except for minor loses and opening of the links, with its original blackened finish with nice age patina, no rust whatsoever.
