Very rare 19th century sword Dha of Kachin people from Myanmar (Burma) of superb quality. Details: extremely thick and heavy Damascus steel blade with visible pattern and nice temper line, mounted in wooden grip bound with rattan, in its original well made wooden scabbard open on one side, and bound with rattan bands to hold the blade. Measurements: overall length with the scabbard: 115, 5cm (45 ½ in), the length without scabbard: 101cm ( 39 ¾ in), length of the blade: 80cm (31 ½ inches )width of blade at widest point: 4 cm (1 5/8 in), blade thickness: 1,8cm (5/8 in). Condition: in good condition with overall showing the age and usage patina.
