Superb and large 19th century (Meiji Period) Japanese Censer. DETAILS: cast in sections in bronze, standing on pedestal base in the form of 4 elephantÂ’s trunks, beautifully decorated body with hand chiseled in low relief birds perched on flower stems among floral spray pattern, two handles in the form of phoenix.
MEASUREMENTS: Height: 21 ½ inches (54,5 cm). Width: 13 inches (33cm). Weight: 20 pounds.
CONDITION: this spectacular Japanese bronze is in excellent condition with nice age patina.
