An amazing antique Italian bureau bookcase, made in Venice, circa 1750 in date.
It has been made from the finest burr walnut with walnut crossbanding and boxwood inlaid lines.The top has two doors with mirror glazing, there is a mirror above with engraved cherub decoration, and it has two small drawers. The interior has been lined with fabric.
The base has three deep drawers, very useful for storage. They have also been lined with fabric.The bureau fall can be lowered for use as a desk and the interior has two small drawers and two small cupboards for storing pens, papers, etc.It has its original handles and locks.
This is an absolutely unique piece.
