For Sale I have an Inkwell with a Fabulous Patina. The Gracefully Shaped inkwell has a nice round platform that tapers up to the top lid. The lid is connected to the body by a hinge and it opens and closes with ease.
The Inkwell Displays a Heintz or Roycroft type Patina. The Patina is also similar to that used by Tiffany Studios, New York and some Handel Lamp Bases I have seen in the past. The top side is darker than the bottom and that is probably caused by the exposure to the elements.
The Inkwell is considered to be in excellent condition as there are only a few issues. There is one pencil size indent along the bottom top edge and there is a crease on the exterior cap. The bottom also has a small indented crease. The inkwell is missing its original insert but one can be bought on line from the company in England that makes replacements for these. The piece is unsigned but it is definitely Vintage. I would guess that this piece to have been made Circa 1900-1920.
Those of you who collect Inkwells and want an excellent Patinated example you need to look no further!! Since I don't have a Famous name to attach this inkwell to, my price is a very reasonable one. I'm sure the Buyer be delighted with their purchase.
