Antique 18th century Indo-Persian steel shield Dhal- Separ of circular convex form decorated on the centre by a chased in low relief medallion representing sun god rays emanating from a human face-an insignia of Mewari court which is surrounded by an engraved steel serpent riveted to the shield and set with four domed bosses affixed by four ring-bolts on the reverse for a rope (to hold the shield) with remains of cotton stuffing from the central cushion.
MEASUREMENTS: Diameter: 24.5 cm (9 3/4 in)
CONDITION: It is in good condition for it's age.
