Very rare, 18th century, Indian Executioner Sword Tegha.
DETAILS: massive plain steel tulwar hilt, broad and extremely heavy slightly curved single edged blade of kilij form, four fullers and yelmen, spine section of the blade near the hilt is fluted, the sword is with its original leather covered wooden scabbard. This superbly made sword has one of the best quality Indian blades I've ever seen. Considering this sword weighs (approximately 4 pounds) most likely was made for a very strong man, able to cut throughout the armour.
MEASUREMENTS: overall length with the scabbard: 37inches (94 cm), the length without scabbard: 35 ¼ inches (89,5 cm), length of the blade: 29 ½ inches (75cm) width of blade at widest point: 1 ¾ inches (4,5cm).
