17th Century Islamic Indo Persian Helmet Kulah Zirah. The helmet is made of flattened, and riveted for strength, hand forged steel mail links connected to a small slightly curved round steel plate. The chain mail begins with larger links and the next row with smaller rings. These types of helmets were also popular in Caucasus among Khevsurs Chechens and Georgians and many Eastern European nations during the 17th and 18th century. Is in good condition and is 18 ¼ inches long (46 cm) from plate to bottom.
