Antique, 18th Century Hungarian Sword. Details: very unusual bronze hilt sculptured in the form of the standing figure of a Turkish Ottoman Sultan, dressed in the long robe and wearing decorated with pearl turban, heavy single edged blade made in Turkish Kilij manner with yelman forte, on one side of the blade engraved a horseman holding a mace and on the other side is an image of a standing warrior carrying the sword with the eagle below and a description. Dimensions: overall length 29 5/8 inches (75.3 cm). Condition: in good condition except for minor rust, worn out engravings and bend point of the blade. Most likely the hilt made in the shape of a bend Ottoman ruler has a very clever symbolic meaning; Hungarian soldier squeezing an Ottoman ruler with his hand.
