Antique Heisterkamp Delft Blue and White Handled Ceramic Vase
This wonderful and large 19th century, faience tin-glazed Delft blue and white two-handled vase features a pretty figural seaside scene on one side. Measures 12 3/8" high, 9.5" wide including the handles, and has a diameter of 8.5". Weighs 4 lbs. 5 oz. Very good condition, with no chips, cracks or restorations. There are a few small areas of imperfection to the glaze, dating from time of production. The painted scene depicts a nursing mother and small child near the water's edge with sailboats on the ocean in the distance. Signed "HEISTERKAMP". Other marks include the painted numbers "1464", "2950c", "275", and impressed marks which overlap slightly and appear to read "3029" and "ADR D".
