An antique late 18th Century mahogany, 8 day, Grandfather / Longcase Clock by RobertWoollan of Glastonbury.
Chiming on the hour and quarter hours, with 2 weights and pendulum and winding key and having moonphase and date.
The dial engraved " Rober Woollan Glastonbury " .
The 12ins arched brass dial with wide silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals and date aperture, the arch showing phases of the moon, and the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in a mahogany case inlaid with figured panels, crossbanding and ovoid shell motif, the upper part with moulded scroll pediment and turned and fluted columns with Corinthian capitols to hood and with conforming quarter columns to trunk.
The beautiful flame mahogany case is a treat to behold and the clock is in working order.
