An exquisite antique George II English silver presentation tankard.
This tankard features London hallmarks from 1759 and the makers mark of Robert Albin Cox. The footed pear form is heavily decorated with repousse rocaille volutes and floral sprays, centering a rocaillecartouchemedalion with a later inscription:

"Leicestershire Agricultural Society 1853 presented by Thomas Fremen Esq to Mr Thos Spencer for the best Ox under 4 years old bred and fed in the County entirely on Grass from May 14 1853 to Aug1 1853".

A truly exquisite piece with wonderful embossed decoration that would make a fine addition to any antique silver collection.
