Authentic antique French Napoleonic Infantry officer's sword. Details: The hilt is sliver plated brass with a wooden grip bound with wire, a Roman's helmet pommel and a boat shaped guard decorated with shell. The blade is a straight single edged blade with a fuller and spear point engraved with trophies and foliage. The overall length is 92.5 cm (36 3/8 in). Condition: The blade is pitted and worn but is otherwise in good condition. References: Des Sabres Et Des Epees by Michel Petard, Tome Troisieme page 158-159.
