This pair of exceptional andirons in the French Louis XVI style feature armorial and neoclassical motifs including lion masks, swags, frolicking putti, and rinceau, and date from the 19th century. One features the seated figure of a cherub while the other features the figure of a seated maiden. We have not found any hallmarks. Each measures 18" wide and 18" tall.
