This is a fabulous, fantastic quality, mid 19th century, French gilt bronze Rococo Revival mantel clock by "Robin a Paris, Horologer du Roi", which translates as "Robin, Paris, Clockmaker to the King".
The case is ornately decorated with rocailles, acanthus leaves, roses and a musical trophy, surmounted by a winged putto, raised on a similar base, the white enamelled dial has Roman numerals and Arabic minute marks, the twin train movement with outside countwheel, striking on a bell, all in perfect working order.
This clock will make a statement wherever it is placed.
The clock is in excellent fully restored condition.
