Beautiful and uncommon antique English decoupage lacquered papier mache round tray decorated with courting scene, cupids, and flower garlands in vivid colors on a dark red and black background imitating tortoiseshell. We have seen similar items described as English Georgian. In good used condition with some wear to paint, small losses to edge, shelf wear to underside, crackle and minor imperfections as shown.
