A stunning antique Edwardian walnut pedestal desk, circa 1900 in date by the renowned furniture makers Maple & Co.

The desk has beautiful crossbanded decoration to the drawer fronts and top. The handles are brass, the drawer linings are solid mahogany and it sits on wonderful Queen Anne feet.

Sunlight over the years has faded the walnut to a beautiful golden brown which gives this desk it's character. It has three beautiful gold tooled, faded green leather inserts on the top.

They were by Royal Appointment and were one of the leading furniture manufacturers of the Victorian and Edwardian eras. They used only the finest quality timber which they imported directly from all over the world. They had premises in Tottenham Court Road in London, until the 1980s.

Their furniture was sold to Embassies, hotels, palaces and beautiful homes all over the world.
