This antique tile of a shaggy little dog was made by the Sherwin Cotton Company in England around 1910. The tile has an almost photographic quality and is covered in a deep green glaze. The back is soot covered from being near a fireplace and has the embossed marks “ SHERWINS PATEN LOCK BACK TRADEMARK ENGLAND” The condition is very good. It does have crazing and some light surface scratches and a shallow flake on the bottom edge.
