Ch’ing Dynasty, late 18th century Chinese sword with a double edged sturdy blade.
DETAILS: the grip made of rosewood, the cross guard, pommel, and fittings of the scabbard are made from brass beautifully hand chiselled with symbols of Longevity and images of bats (Chinese symbol of good luck), in its original turtle shell covered scabbard.
CONDITION: the sword is in good condition considering its age except for some chips on the finish of the scabbard what can be expected from 200 years old object.
MEASUREMENTS: overall length with the scabbard: 60,5cm (23 ¾ in).
