Antique exceptional Chinese 19th century Qing Dynasty ceremonial sword Dao.
DETAILS: the carved green nephrite jade hilt of characteristic Mughal khanjar form with bulbous pommel and scrolling terminal mounted in oval shaped guard decorated in cloisonné enamel. The cloisonné scabbard decorated with continues dragons designs set on both sides with green jade rectangular plagues containing the lizards surrounded by border applied with settings of rounded turquoise. The gilded copper mounts repousee with dragons of similar form as on the cloisonné. Slightly curved single edged steel blade with narrow grooves showing some abrasions.
