An unusual Early 20th Century Vintage China Kitchen Mould in the form of a recumbent lion, the tapering, fluted sides raised to facilitate handling, unmarked, undecorated and simply glazed "in the white". During the early years of the twentieth century, these china moulds tended, on grounds both of price and hygiene, being easier to keep clean, increasingly to supplant the formerly universally used tinned copper moulds.
