Antique Chatillon Cast Iron 300# Lollipop Scale

Antique Chatillon cast iron 300 pound lollipop scale, perfect for a retro bathroom or for the collector. This wonderful antique scale was made by John Chatillon & Sons, known for precision instruments since 1835. It measures approximately 66.25 inches high, 11.5 inches wide, and 21 inches deep. The round scale dial is approximately 11.5 inches in diameter and goes up to 300 pounds; it is covered with a glass lens. The standing platform measures approximately 10.75 inches wide and 14 inches long, and appears to made of masonite or fiberboard. The scale frame is cast iron. This historical piece is in very good condition, with a reliable, accurate, and high quality weighing scale. The frame is intact. It has been painted one or more times, and there are some areas of missing or flaking green paint. It may be porcelain under the paint layer(s). The platform shows some wear but is very sturdy.
