Fantastic Curling Club cup, Scottish made in Edimburgh in 1860, Victorian period, make is Mackay & Cisholm . Finely chased and embossed all around the body with floreal motive, enriched on the bottom with embossed leaves . Inscription in the front : Presented to Major Wedderhurt ROYAL PERTH RIFLES BY THE MEMBERS OF the Roslin Curling Club AS A MARK OF RESPECT & ESTEEM FOR HIM as their President 11.th. Feb. 1861 On the back engraved curling players . This lot come from Christie's auction in Scotland lot. GLW BT 920 Excellent conditions ! Height 8.66 in. ( 22 cm.) Weight 23.72 oz. ( 738 grams.)
