Antique 18th century Eastern European brass cartridge box in the form of a shield. The front and sides are cast and chased, the front plate is decorated with a pair of standing lions surmounted by a figure of a woman amidst scrollwork and flanged by two eagles perched on branches. A hinged lid surmounted with elaborated figures of two winged dragons. The rear is fitted with a belt loop for suspension.
MEASUREMENTS: 11.6 cm (4 ½ in) high.
CONDITION: in good condition.
