Antique Woven Art Tapestry Historic Vintage Wall hanging From Belgium.

This Great Historic Tapestry was made to remember one of Belgium’s greatest kings, King Albert the first (1875-1934).

The tapestry is in great shape.  It was attached by (a little bit rusty) nails to an oak frame.

I took it out the frame, for easier shipping but I still kept the frame. It can be included for the extra shipping cost.

Here is a short biography of this great leader of the Belgium Country:

Albert I, King of the Belgians (1875-1934), is remembered especially for his strong leadership during World War I. He married Elizabeth, daughter of the Duke of Bavaria, in 1900 and succeeded Leopold II, his uncle, to the Belgian throne in 1909.  

In 1934 he was killed by a fall while mountain climbing.

He was deeply mourned by the Belgian people.

He was succeeded by his eldest son, Leopold III.
