ANtique Amethyst EDWARDIAN necklace bracelet

This is one of the nicest antique amethyst edwardian sets I have ever offered so be sure you don't miss out on this at the last minute ( I will do layaway on this too). The open fancy grill backs on the pendant and the bracelet makes these HUGE stones show up like nothing you have seen. The rich heavy gilt metal frames are so ornate I can't begin to to explain all the work in it. The set weighs quite a lot and is one of the highest quality costume pieces you will ever come across.I have more photos of this if you want to email me. The bracelet has its original safety chain and it measures 7" long and 1 1/2" wide with each link being soldered and hinged. The necklace measures 18" long around the neck with an additional 3 1/2" drop. The drop is made like Haskell pieces ( this is pre-haskell so maybe this is where she got her ideas from). It has layers of gilt leaves and pearls and rhinestones the frame the top to match the vine like raised relief bezel sides. The tassel has a beautiful star shaped adornment with a purple glass cabachon center like you find in Austro hungarian pieces. The second drop on this has wire mesh tassels. The metal wire mesh neck chain has such intricate weaving that I can't imagine a machine being able to do it. The stones look like slag glass looks when you look thru it which really makes them loaded with purple colors. The accent rhinestones just finish off this amazing set that original to each other. I can't say enough good about this and the photos don't come close to how fantastic it is. Other than one link having what looks like a missing metal scroll half bead it is in very very good condition. IT is such an impressive set that you can only look at it in awe and be glad you are its owner!!Sold as is and as found (used and vintage).
