18th century American Revolutionary small sword made for a boy. This is a real weapon of very good quality and is not a toy, it was meant to teach young boys, to be future soldiers, how to fight with a sword. The guard and the pommel are made of brass with a wooden grip. The solid double-edged blade is partly engraved with a floral pattern. The period time wooden scabbard is covered by black leather sown in the middle, the end of the scabbard is broken. The sword is in good condition considering its age. The entire length of the sword is 25 ¼ inches in a straight line. The length of the blade is 20 ¼ inches.
