Antique 76" Robert Adam Georgian Stye Giltwood Mirror

This incredible antique carved giltwood mirror in the style of Robert Adam dates from the nineteenth century and measures an impressive 76" (6' 4") tall, 34.5" wide and 6" deep. The oval center mirrored glass measures 28" by 18.5". It is likely of continental or possibly British ( English ) origin. It has an elaborate scrolled foliate and floral carved frame with oval shaped glass in center which is surrounded by smaller panes. It features ram heads carved in high relief on left and right, and the cornice has a half corona with pelmet valance. Condition is good. There is wear to the gilding where the red ground shows through, and small cracks and finish losses here and there. There is a small loss to a leaf design on the left side which can be seen in one image, as well as a crack to the frame nearby on the upper left side.
