Antique 19th century Napoleonic Cavalry Sword

A very unusual early 19th century European Napoleonic cavalry sword with extremely long slightly curved single - edged blade, broad fuller stamped on the spine near the hilt IL PW, steel hilt with three bars, side ring with short quillon, long langets and steel back strap. The original leather which covers the wooden grip is dried and worn throughout but with its original bound cord; the hilt has never had wire wrapping. In its original steel scabbard with leather panels. The scabbard is stamped with the maker's mark ZEITERBERG, and the regimental markings43.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 107.5 cm (42 1/4 in), the length without the scabbard: 104.5 cm (41 1/8), length of the blade: 90 cm (35 3/8 in), width of the blade: 3.9 cm (1 1/2 in).
CONDITION: The sword is in a very fine condition except for the deteriorated leather wrapping of the grip.
