Antique 18th century Indo Persian shield - Dhal made of translucent white rhinoceros hide, of circular convex form flattened at the rim the outer face fitted with four brass bosses in the form of stylized flowers with ring-bolts on the back for rope (to hold the shield).
Diameter: 24.5cm (9 5/8 in).
