What an amazing and almost gothic antique footed jardinere this is! With winged gargoyles as handles and cherubs on the footer, this is one fabulous 1800's Austrian handpainted vase. The delicately painted flowers have raised gold relief work ( see photos) on both sides. THis is a large ( 11" x 12" wide) porcelain vase with soft matte finish that sits inside the heavy bass base. The handles arch up and scroll down and the sides have the winged gargoyle or griffin with a fish in his mouth. I have never seen another like this and it has never been offered for sale before. From our private collection, this is a rare treat!.The bottom reads..5643 54 L2662 (or 62662).. . This will have to be insured so the shipping price you see will include that
