Antique 17th -18th century Islamic Indo Persian amour plate, superbly made from hand forged Damascus steel Wootz with a visible very fine Damascus pattern, decorated with a broad band of gold koftgari foliage. The edges are pierced with holes to attach to the main armour, where some were constructed of heavy padded fabric or chain mail.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 21.5 cm (8 1/2 inches), Height: 10.5 cm (4 1/8 in).
