Andy Warhol Estate Acrylic Lounge Chair

Unavailable

This lounge chair in clear acrylic dates from the 1960s and comes from the Andy Warhol estate. It has a half-sphere seat with red and white vinyl covered zippered cushions, which rests upon a cylindrical pedestal base. The half-sphere rests upon a cylindrical pedestal, and the angle of the seat may be adjusted easily. It is unsigned and unattributed, but reminiscent of the hanging Bubble chair, designed in 1968 by Eero Aarnio. With the seat (half-sphere) in the highest upright position the chair measures 40" tall.
