SOLD Ancient Western Asiatic silver alloy libation bowl (Phiale) of hemispherical shape, decorated with interlaced circles, and concentric circle designs.
Achaemenid period (c.550–330 B.C.).
MEASUREMENTS: Diameter: 12.5 cm (4 7/8 inches), Height: 4.5 cm (1 3/4 in).
CONDITION: Corroded areas with earth encrustations, and very tiny holes, as one would expect from an over 2000 year old piece.
