This is an amber glass dish that was produced by the Paden City Glass Co. in the early '40's. It's shaped as an officers hat with embossed insignia. Measures about 4.75 in. diameter and is 2 in. tall at the front as the bill of the cap raises it up just a bit. I find no damage. This is the open, uncovered style. Perfect for small candies, to catch and hold keys, pins, whatever. A definite novelty that will elicit comments. A fun piece to display and use.
