Beautifully engraved certificate from the Allenbee Petroleums Limited issued in 1950-51. This item has the printed signatures of the Companys President and Secretary and is over 51 years old. The company operated oil leases in the southeast extension of the Leduc oilfield in Central Alberta, Canada. The Leduc oilfield was a 200-million-barrel discovery and further exploration uncovered the existence of a large oil field in the area. As a result of this find, scores of American and British oil companies entered Alberta in the 1940s and 1950s.
