This 9 piece set of Meakin Americana china is in excellent condition--no chips or nicks. The great condition of these pieces is probably a reflection of the superior craftsmanship that can be expected from the English Ironware producers--JG Meakin. This set includes 7, 10 1/2 inch dinner plates, 1, 10 inches wide by 12 inches long, platter , and 1, 8 1/4 inch wide and 2 1/2 inch tall, serving bowl. Each piece represents a depiction of an American historical scene. This set was manufactured for only 1 year in 1976 as a tribute to our country's bicentennial.
