1931 Stearman Biplane 3rd in the Plane series, this is in MINT CONDITION, ERTL die cast metal bank, Officially Licensed Texaco Product from 1995. It comes with box but not original wrapping. It measures 12" x 8 1/2. This was modeled after the information below. The "Texaco 14" Stearman biplane was purchased for a little under $15,000 from the Stearman Aircraft Company of Wichita, Kansas in July 1931. This particular Stearman was promptly put to work as rapid transportation for the Texaco General Domestic Sales Department. It continued to serve Texaco until its retirement in February 1936.
