Abstract Patinated Bronze Seated Figure, Tamkin, 20th C
Description: Abstract Patinated Bronze Seated Figure, Tamkin, Mid-20th C. Possibly Latin American. The figure is modeled in a seated pose with arms wrapped around the knees and face looking forward. The figure is mounted on a conforming polished black stone base. The bronze features a light brown finish with verdigris patina. The back of the figure is signed in the cast: "TAMKIN". The artist has not been identified. Price Comparison: $1500-2500 in Fine Art & Antiques Gallery. Dimensions: Bronze (including base): 7-1/2" High, 8-1/2" Long, 5-1/4" Wide. Bronze (not including base): 6-5/8" High, 7-1/2" Long, 5-1/4" Wide. Weight: 7.5lbs. Condition: There are a few very minor scratches/wear marks to the surface of the bronze figure. There is some minor dirt/dust to the surface. There are a number of whitish water-like spots/marks to the surface of the black marble base (not on the bronze). Otherwise, the sculpture is in good condition.
