An Older, " Trooper of the Plains " by Frederic Remington. Size: 10.125 x 11.00 inches; Weight with marble base: 9.60 pounds; Patina: Dark Brown; Signature: Signed in base of sculpture, no date or number, unless under the base of statue. Marble base covers this. Materials: The statue is solid bronze with a dark green marble base. His reins are copper. His riffle and sword are soldered on. His hat has three dents and turned straight up in front. He is holding his little pistol in his right hand and his reins in his left hand. His back pack is rolled up behind the saddle. The tail of the horse is pointed straight out. The marble base looks to be to large for the piece. A beautiful old sculpture.
