This wonderful House Blessing plate is a perfect house warming or wedding gift. Jesus,The Sacred Heart, is pictured surrounded by flowers. The Enesco plate reads: A House Blessing God bless the corners of this house, And the lintel blest; And bless the hearth and bless the board And bless each place of rest; And bless each door that opens wide To stranger as to kin; And bless each crystal window pane That lets the starlight in; And bless the rooftree overhead And every sturdy wall, The peace of man, the peace of God, The peace of love on all. The crazing in the glaze attests to the plaque's age. A few spects of gold trim leads me to believe that at one time the edge was trimmed in gold. The back of the decorative plate has a silver and red Enesco Japan foil paper label and a cord is threaded through holes in the foot of the plate.
