The cover of this wonderful recipe fill reads VOL. ONE a guide to pink elephants 200 most requested drinks on alcohol resistant cards. It is a Handy Aid Book from Richards Rosen Associates, Inc. 17 East 22nd Street NEW YORK 10, N.Y. Copyright 1952. The first page explains: 1. The glass shown on each card is the proper glass to use for that drink. 2. Mix ingredients in order given to insure proper blending. 3. Italian Vermouth is sweet: French is dry. 4. Use bitters sparingly. 5. Grenadine is added for color, not flavor, though it does sweeten. ^. T=tablespoon t=teaspoon. 7. Quanities given are for 1 drink unless otherwise specified. Adjust quanities in the same ratio for number of drinks wanted. The sections are: INDEX, BRANDIES, CORDIALS, GINpARTY DRINKS AND CANAPES, RUM, SCOTCH, VODKA,WHISKEY and WINES. The 196 page book expains what each liquor is and has popular and little known recipes. Among them are two kinds of Mint Julep and a Champagne Julep, three Martinis, Manhattan,Moscow Mule, Frozen Daiquiri and Rob Roy. Some that I never heard of are: Millionaire Cocktail,Honeysuckle, Hop Toad, Horse's Neck, Blood and Sand and Angel's Kiss Cocktails.
