A beautiful necklace in 18K yellow gold and diamonds by luxury jeweler Fred. The design features a series of links in a running bond pattern interspersed with three stations, each featuring three collet-set round brilliant-cut diamonds, and two additional stations, each set with one diamond. The diamonds are of fine quality, estimated at G/H color and VVS clarity. The classic design and 16 length is appropriate for either casual or dress wear. Fred Samuelson established his boutique in 1936 and quickly became a jeweler to Marlene Dietrich and other luminaries of the time. There are only a few stores worldwide, and Fred continues to be regarded as a Parisian luxury jeweler of understated elegance. The necklace is signed Fred and is fully hallmarked with French tete daigle hallmarks for 18K gold. Origin: France, ca. 1980. Size: 16 long; 3/16 wide. Weight: 27.3 grams. Approximate Total Diamond Weight: 1.1 carat.
